Jetzt hat der Corona Virus auch die Skateboardszene erreicht. China musste bereits Skateboard Contests absagen, nun ist die Street League dran. Wie man vor 6 Stunden mitteilte, muss die SLS World Tour in Las Vegas und Beijing abgesagt werden.
Ob die SLS Weltmeisterschaft am 22.-24. Mai in London ebenfalls abgeblasen werden muss, steht noch nicht fest.
WORLD TOUR UPDATE: Due to the potential serious health concerns caused by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak and the associated travel restrictions, the first two stops of the SLS World Tour in Las Vegas and Beijing have been canceled. After careful consideration, given the global scope of this rapidly developing situation and following the recommendations of medical professionals and governmental officials, the decision to cancel the events has been made to best protect the health, safety and well-being of athletes and fans, which is always our top priority.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates regarding the SLS World Championship which is currently scheduled for May 22-24, 2020 in London.Our thoughts are with all of those affected by the Coronavirus and we’d like to thank all of our partners, skaters, & fans for their continued support during this challenging time.
